We are all more aware of food allergies than we would have been 5 years ago, supermarkets and shops are also catching up and the range of Vegetarian and Gluten free foods available is wider than it ever has been but there is still lots of room for improvement and the best people to do this are the people that have food allergies or have a Gluten free lifestyle because they have to find ways of finding alternatives that are tasty and varied.
If you have improvised, have a gluten intolerance or are Vegan or Vegetarian and love cooking, why not start a business idea around food. When a food allergy is first diagnosed, it can be a lonely and confusing time because we often feel isolated not only from the foods we have already eaten but from social events where we may not know if we will be able to find foods we can even eat.
Many foods such as breads, Cakes, sauces, pastas and many take away foods will all contain Gluten and although some larger chains like Pizza Hut, Frankie and Benny’s and many Pub Chains have their own a Gluten free menu’s, many places do not and many of our favorite foods have to be omitted. We often don’t replace these as we don’t know how to or there are not suitable alternatives and this is where food ideas come in. When we want something enough, we will find ways to improvise and if you have done that once for your own individual needs, there are many others out there who could benefit from your recipes.

Gluten free products were once a niche market but now continue to grow in popularity and there are still many more business opportunities out there for anyone that has some good ideas.
