Work From Home Or Share A Co-Working Space.

Sharing work spaces may be something we have all heard of but up until now, sharing work spaces with people you have not met before has not been a hugely common practice in the UK. In other Countries such as America and The Philippines the practice of co-working has been happening for a while and in London the idea of co-working spaces is more common than anywhere else in the UK but the idea is catching on as more work from home businesses are at the stage where they want and need more space but don’t want to take the risk of renting a property on their own.

Two entrepreneurs in Gloucester are changing the game for working from home businesses by providing a place we can feel at home but where there are no distractions. The idea has had a positive response with many small businesses making the change and sharing working spaces where they have no distractions and are comfortable. The idea is also helping small work from home businesses to branch out without breaking the bank, meeting new people and being able to bounce business ideas off each other is also a positive bonus for many sharing co-working spaces.

Whilst working from home is a savior for many businesses in the beginning, many find over time, their home and work life become merged in a negative way. They may start with a room in the house where they predominately work only to find a couple months down the line it becomes hard to keep work and home separate. Another problem for work from home businesses is loneliness. Although initially the idea of being at home and working may sound idyllic, it can become lonely, feel like we are losing contact with the outside world and we can begin to get less done as far as productivity is concerned.

Sharing a co-working space is not for everyone, your business has to be in a place where financially it can afford a small fee to contribute towards the rent every month and when businesses first start out, this isn’t an option but if your business can afford to share a co-working space, the benefits certainly seem to be out balancing the negatives.

There is a great need for more networking for small businesses and work from home individuals where they can explore the idea of co-working more and they can meet others that are interested. There are many ways to find and explore co-working places and if like minded people can get together and find those places, there is no limit to what can be achieved.
